I know, I know. I've watched the season, and it seems that Rick has taken quite a beating during the later episodes, specifically with the Ricklets and the new and improved Galactic Federation. And for the beatings, I don't think that it is in character for him to lose these too often. Occasionally, yes, but it is not in his character to be that way. However, he still won't be in full control, but not to the same extent as the canon.
So, here's how I think Season 4 will play out if Rick kept most of his mojo and character intact.
Edge of Tomorty: Rick Die Rickpeat
Of course, it mostly operates the same, save for Rick noticing the death crystal earlier on. He and Morty fight for the wheel, and Morty winds up killing him in pursuit of Jessica. Rick still does go through the multiple fascist realities and still ends up befriending Wasp Rick, and most of the episode stays the same.
The Old Man and the Seat
I have no thoughts and changes on this one. It would likely stay the same.
One Crew Over the Crewcoo's Morty
Of course, this is one of the episodes where Rick stays in character, so it would likely be staying the same.
Claw and Hoarder: Special Ricktim's Morty
The episode would most likely not happen. If Rick stayed in character, he would have probably put his gas mask on and make sure that Morty never got the dragon, even wiping it from his memory. I may be biased, but I really hate it due to its sexuality, so I'm making it like it never happened. The talking cat would likely be another thing, and a short clip with it would probably replace the episode about the dragon.
Rattlestar Ricklactica
Of course, it stays the same.
Never Ricking Morty
It would probably stay the same.
Promortyus
I seriously don't think that someone smart like Rick would be gullible enough to look at a Glorzo egg. He might've freed Morty and gotten him and Summer back to a repaired spaceship and left. Simple as that, or they can just have a massive amount of Glorzo dogpile him long enough for one of their own to control his body, only to get alcohol poisoning. I did love how they made a joke about the yahoos and creeps who ship the two.
The Vat of Acid Episode
Morty still rebels, and Rick still finds a clever way to put him down, and it would probably stay the same.
Childrick of Mort
Now, this episode would likely experience big changes, mostly in how it ended if anything. Seriously, out of all the people in the episode, Rick was the one who was the least in the wrong. Beth was the one who suggested that they put the unproductives down a pipe in the back, it was Jerry and Reggie who wound up starting the fight, and Morty and Summer were just plain high up their asses in that episode. As for Gaia, something has been going on really wrong in them. If they saw everything, then the Smiths would be the ones being banished rather than Rick. In my version, Rick would win against Reggie in the brawl, only for him to increase in size and basically cheat. Rick responds by turning Reggie into a giant magnet (like how Cameron did with Lightning in Total Drama), causing several asteroids and the ship to crash into him. Reggie, would, of course, still fall on the city and destroy it, but in this one, Gaia would not be angry enough to outright banish Rick, but rather the Smiths. However, Gaia's interactions with Rick end up with him and the planet having a talk, realizing that it just wouldn't work in the end. Instead of putting Morty and Summer into it, Rick instead tells Beth and Jerry that they would resume a dysfunctional marraige and go back to hating one another, regarding how their relationship should never have existed and how embarrassed he is over the cries of denial that he constantly hears as they drive through space.
Star Mort: Rickturn of the Jerri
Of course, due to the interaction at Childrick of Mort, the Smiths wind up becoming more and more cold to Rick due to what he said there, and like with the canonical version, Space Beth shows up. They still have a heart-to-heart with what they missed out, and they soon spot the Federation right at their doorstep. Rick immediately takes notice and goes to rescue Earth Beth before she could get captured, with Space Beth following en suite. Over time, it becomes clear that Rick doesn't know who is who, but makes sure that they do not notice. He still kills Tammy, and fights Phoenixperson. What is different about this is that he takes notice of the switch on Phoenixperson's back, and winds up turning him off. However, the Smith family still isn't really fond of Rick, and winds up giving Space Beth the credit. The ending scene is basically the same, only Rick does not flinch and instead grabs Space Beth's wrist for a second before shortly letting go. He still realizes that he was a terrible father to them, and that, through his own actions and their constant exposure to sci-fi calamity in a pretty bad way, he sits down, contemplating his next step.

I might just be overanalyzing things, but I don't think that the smartest man in the universe could be taken down so easily. He had the tools to win, but for some reason or another, he didn't. My thoughts might have something to do with the synaptic dampener that hindered him. What are your thoughts and how would Season be different with a still in character Rick?
And WHY do I keep posting these kinds of things!?
