Bushworld Adventures is an eleven-minute episode that aired unannounced on Adult Swim on April 1, 2018, one year after the surprise premiere of the third season of Rick and Morty, as part of Adult Swim's annual April Fools' prank.
Written, directed and produced by Australian animator and YouTube personality Michael Cusack, the episode features a different animation and art style from usual, and is heavily themed around Australian humor.
Synopsis[]
Morty goes outside to find Rick yelling at him to get in the car. Despite Morty wanting to sleep in, he comes with Rick anyway. Beth and Summer try to stop Rick from bringing Morty with him, but to no avail.
On the road, Rick tells Morty they are going to Bendigo to get his green cube, and shows him a portal gun that he modified into a real gun. He then attempts to kill Morty, due to his constant whining and complaining, and when he kills Morty, he’ll drive the car off the cliff and then kill himself. But first, they go to the gas station.
