Devil's Advocate Bot

The Devil's Advocate Bot is a robot created by Rick that resembles a devil and a resident of Garbtopia within the Trash Moon dimension. He appears in the episode "Morty Daddy".

Biography[]

The Devil's Advocate Bot is first seen in "Morty Daddy" where Morty and Morty Jr. convinces the residents of Garbtopia to take down Salvatron. The Devil's Advocate Bot appears and tries to oppose doing so, but Morty calls him out and mentions how he is glad Rick threw him in the Trash Moon dimension.

He is later seen ordering food from the Hot Cog food truck run by the Precogs after Rick put it in the Trash Moon dimension. The Devil's Advocate Bot mentions how he would not order onions on his hot dog but one of the Precogs, Steve, mentions how he would. He tries to oppose Steve through his opinions until Steve reveals when he will die as the Devil's Advocate bot decides to stop talking and accept his food while walking away.

The robot is based off the phrase "playing devil's advocate" where a person argues against a position through opposing opinions and contrarianism to start a discussion.
The design of Devil's Advocate Bot resembles the Robot Devil from Futurama.
