Druggie Rick was a version of Rick Sanchez who resided in the Grand Central Dimension. He was the slave of Jacket Jerry, who forced Druggie Rick to do his bidding. Druggie Rick's name comes from his habit of smoking green crystals and highly dishevelled appearance.
Biography[]
Druggie Rick's true origins are unknown. He is either the native Rick of the Grand Central Dimension or came to occupy it after the original Rick and Smith Family left on an adventure and never returned.
Druggie Rick had seemingly been living with Boss Jerry at Grand Central for some time. Prior to his appearance in "Nomortland", Boss Jerry had decided Jerrys did not need to be reliant on Ricks, Ricks should be reliant on Jerrys. Therefore, he managed to turn Druggie Rick into a mere slave.
When Mooch Jerry and Jerry Smith of Dimension 5126 arrive at Grand Central, Druggie Rick is seen loafing in a chair and smoking some unknown green crystals. After the conversation between Mooch Jerry, Jerry 5126 and Boss Jerry turns sour, the latter says Jerrys don't need to depend on a Rick and demonstrates this by grabbing Druggie Rick by the hair and ordering him to lead the two Jerrys out of Grand Central and blacklist them.
Druggie Rick re-appears when Mooch Jerry and Jerry 5126 eventually make their way back to Grand Central and ride a giant mouse away. Druggie Rick, who was again loafing in a chair, asks if Boss Jerry just saw the two of them riding a giant mouse. BossJerry drags him out of his chair and calls him useless, to which Druggie Rick replies by pointing out Boss Jerry became much meaner after gaining his titular jacket and berates him for always dragging him out of chairs. Boss Jerry pushes Druggie Rick back into his lawn chair before departing.
Appearance[]
Druggie Rick looked very similar to the series' titular Rick Sanchez, sporting his spiked blue hair, blue unibrow, overall thin build and a white lab coat with a blue long sleeve underneath. However, his heavy use of drugs has clearly taken its toll on him. He is much thinner, to the point his cheekbones are now very prominent, his eyes are bloodshot, his face is much more wrinkled, he has heavy stubble and is covered with various stains. He also has a tooth sticking out of his mouth.
His clothes are also excessively torn to the point his lab coat's sleeves are almost completely gone. Much like his skin, they are covered with multiple stains. One of his trouser legs has a patch on it.
Personality[]
Druggie Rick is a much more submissive Rick than most of the Ricks shown throughout the series. He appears to do little outside of taking drugs. He follows Boss Jerry's orders, but still stands up to him, calling him "mean" and disliking his treatment of him. Druggie Rick's demeanour is almost juvenile (likely a side-effect of his drug use) as he talks in an immature fashion and was excited to tell Boss Jerry about seeing two Jerrys riding a giant mouse. He is also incompetent in his role, as he did nothing to prevent the latter outside of telling his boss what happened when it was already too late.
Trivia[]
- Whilst the crystals Druggie Rick is smoking appear to be similar to crystal meth, they are bright green in color, similar to Portal Fluid.
- Since the rest of the Smith Family are absent in the Grand Central Dimension, it is not clear whether Druggie Rick is Boss Jerry's original Rick or a Rick that ended up in the dimension and was subdued by him.
