Rick and Morty at the Emmy Awards
The Emmy Awards are an extensive range of awards for artistic and technical merit for the television industry. Rick and Morty make cameo appearances as presenters for the the award for Outstanding Reality-Competition Program during the 70th Primetime Emmy Awards. They have also made cameo appearances during the 72th Primetime Emmy Awards.
Synopsis[]
In the 70th Primetime Emmy Awards, Rick and Morty emerge out of a portal wearing tuxedos to present the award for Outstanding Reality-Competition program. Morty mentions how nobody knows reality like them since they’ve been to multiple realities. Rick apologies to Morty as he is going off prompter and shows the audience a Emmy-shaped like alien. Rick mentions how its feet and hands are permanently stuck to a wooden sphere while it is forced to be in its pose and dipped into molten gold. Rick then mentions how it’s a herbivore that mates for life and capable of complex emotions. Rick questions how Atlanta will do tonight but Morty tells him that he is ruining the night. Morty tells him to present the award and Rick announces that the winner is RuPaul’s Drag Race.
In the 72th Primetime Emmy Awards, Rick and Morty make cameo appearances wearing face masks due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Rick tells the audience how he has been wiping down groceries as Morty asks Rick to do something about the pandemic. Rick declines to do so as they are saying money on mouth animation by wearing masks on their faces to cover their mouths.
