The Fear Hole is a giant hole in the bathroom stall of a Denny's restaurant which manifests the fear of the person who enters the hole. It also gives the person an opportunity to conquer their biggest fear and have their picture displayed on the restroom's nearby bulletin board.
It first appeared in "Fear No Mort" when Rick and Morty visit the Fear Hole and the latter uses it to conquer his fear of his own fungibility within Rick's eyes.

When entering the Fear Hole, the inhabitant enters a dark environment filled with monsters that attempt to dissect the person. The Fear Hole can recreate entire environments and become unstable when a person contemplates overcoming their fear. A person can repeatedly emerge out of the Fear Hole only to not escape after climbing out. A person's physical health will decline and can possibly die the longer they are in the Fear Hole and they cannot escape unless they conquer their fear. The Hole can only work for one person at a time due to how multiple people’s fears can counteract each other.
The Fear Hole is associated with the unnamed Fear Hole salesman as he takes Rick and Morty to the Fear Hole, has great knowledge about it, and mentions feasting on Morty's fear after conquering it, although their direct association is unknown.
