The Hot Dogs are a fish-like alien species featured in A Rick in King Mortur's Mort. They are illegally sold as food in a way that is very similar to human trafficking.
Behavior[]
The Hot Dogs are sapient, being able to respond to interrogations and help officials find the traffickers. They are good at swimming and have an aquatic habitat, but are able to survive on land as well. They are also tasty food, which makes them a target of trafficking from other aliens.
History[]
An alien was selling them at the Restaurant Asteroid. Rick bought three crispy and four wiggling, and ate them while Morty was talking to Knights (one hot dog dropped out of Rick’s hands, but it’s unknown if they escaped).
The alien selling them was later apprehended by Mongo Bongo and the Hot Dogs were taken to the police station, where they reported about other aliens who were also in the trafficking ring. After the traffickers were killed and the rest of the hot dogs were rescued, Mongo Bongo brought them to a beach and released them back into the ocean. He was surprised to see that a bird didn’t appear and grab them, only for a bird to grab and take him.
