Marvin the Cowardly Security Guard is a security guard in Meta Reality. Temporarily, he was accidentally made the protagonist of Rick and Morty by Protago Nick, turning the show into Marvin the Cowardly Security Guard.
Biography[]
Marvin lives in Meta Reality and takes various security guard jobs, but always ends up running out on them when there is any actual danger. During Full Meta Jackrick, he was working at the headquarters of the Self-Referential Six. When Rick Sanchez and Morty Smith infiltrated the place, Rick threw a boomerang at Protago Nick, which caused his beam to hit Marvin, making him the protagonist as he was running away. After exiting the headquarters, he drove home to his wife. In the opening of Marvin the Cowardly Security Guard, he runs away from a zombie, a wolf, a hooligan on a shopping cart, and a Loch Ness monster, but the opening was interrupted by Rick defeating Protago Nick and making Marvin no longer the protagonist.

He is labeled "cowardly" by the title of the show, but some of the things he runs away from are legitimate dangers that he couldn't reasonably be expected to deal with or survive, especially Rick Sanchez. Regardless, he feels ashamed of it.
Relationships[]
He lives with his wife, Katie, who is happy that Marvin keeps running away rather than dying.
