Night Summer is the unconscious persona of Summer Smith, brought to sentience when Rick used the Somnambulator to take advantage of the family's sleeping bodies to perform chores for them.
Biography[]
When the Smith family discovered that Rick was using a Somnambulator to allow him to perform boring and tiring tasks while asleep, they all want in. This brought to existence the Night Family, the leader of which was Night Summer. She became a strong adversary for Rick, one who eventually gained total control in their conflict. However, although achieving superiority of the night family over the day family, Night Summer eventually gave control back to the daytime personas, due to dissatisfaction with her existence.
Appearance[]
Night Summer is identical to Summer Smith, except with the tired, stooped look of all the members of the Night Family, including bloodshot eyes and drooping limbs. Her voice is slow, raspy and low.
Personality[]
Powerful and willful, Night Summer is a bold adversary for Rick and one who eventually dominates him. Her power over the Night Family is so complete that they even obey orders without question from Day Summer masquerading as Night Summer. However, upon facing destitution, her sense of power evaporated. To the point that she accepts Night Rick's offer to destroy the machine without hesitanse.
