Protolaxians[2] are an alien race that only appeared in "The Whirly Dirly Conspiracy".
Some of them were present at the Immortality Field Resort. Jerry joked about how they look like Jeff Goldblum. Rick continued the joke by telling them to “not go to the telepod”.

- Rick telling the Protolaxian to “not go to the telepod” is a reference to the movie The Fly, where Seth Bundle (played by Jeff Goldblum) accidentally fuses with a fly after the two enter the same teleportation capsule.
- The Protolaxians went through more designs than most characters (except for Pickle Rick).[1]
