"Rick Can Handle It" is the first short episode of Vindicators 2. It premiered on July 23, 2022 on Adult Swim's YouTube channel. It was written by Sarah Carbiener and Erica Rosbe and directed by Maite Garcia.
Synopsis[]
The Vindicators are back. Except it’s the past and they’re all still alive. Prequel, baby!
Plot[]
In the atmosphere of Earth, the Vindicators, minus Rick and Morty, unite to take out Doom-Nomitron. While Supernova suggests that they distract Doom-Nomitron so Lady Katana could enter his nasal passage and sever his neural center, the latter shoots it down because Doom-Nomitron's veins are made of titanium and she can only cut with katanas with more precision. Following a discussion of Lady Katana, Calypso, and Diablo Verde being around to add diversity to the team, the latter asks why Supernova cannot use her powers to crack Doom-Nomitron open. Alan reveals that Supernova is pregnant, meaning she is unable to use her full powers without hurting the baby.
Alan brings up a point of leaving Rick to handle Doom-Nomitron by himself, but that irks Supernova as they are the Vindicators, and unlike Rick, they are heroes. Still, everyone, including a reluctant Alan, agree to let Rick handle Doom-Nomitron by himself. Supernova tries to protest this decision as it would leave Earth defenseless, but Crocubot discovers 4893 planets that are in distress. Following Supernova coughing up an ant, as part of her and Million Ants baby, she reluctantly agrees to leave Earth and help the planets in distress.
