Scary People are a species of sentient imaginary humanoids who live within dreams, and were first encountered inside Mr. Goldenfold's dreams. They are depicted as a species of predators who kill people in comedic fashion within their dreams.
Biography[]
Lawnmower Dog[]
Rick and Morty encounter Scary Terry within Dream Bedrock who intially tends to hunt and kill them. However, he loses track of them and returns home to his wife, Melissa and son, Scary Brandon.
Rick and Morty intecepts Terry's nightmare about school whereby he encourages him to not worry about having to kill people in a specific way in a pumpkin patch and give him a pair of trousers.
Culture[]
Scary people appears to adhere to traditional human culture when it comes to school, work and family. Kids and teenagers go to school to learn the trade of scary people, which they then do for a living as adults. They appear to have traditional partnership of only two people and share one home. Their society is governed by a "Scary president", of which there have been at least sixteen.
Education[]
Scary teenagers are taught in high school Scary Class different ways of scaring their victims, as well as how to use puns and other elements to amuse themselves during the scaring. They study the area where dreams and reality meet, fundamentals of fear and what sort of fear to play on a victim. They are also taught claw safety. After high school, students can choose to go on to study at Scary University.
