On May 10, 2018, Adult Swim announced that the series was renewed for 70 additional episodes as apart of a long-term deal with co-creators Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland, which renewed the series for a tenth season.[1]
On January 24, 2023, Season 10 was officially confirmed as part of the 70 episode renewal ordered by Adult Swim in 2018. [2]
On June 14, 2023, Adult Swim president Michael Ouweleen and executive producer Steve Levy revealed that Season 10 was being discussed. [3]
On October 17, 2024 at New York Comic Con, showrunner Scott Marder announced that the writers are "almost done writing the first pass of Season 10" at the Rick and Morty Season 8 panel.[4]
On September 25, 2025, executive producer Steve Levy revealed that Season 10 is in production.[5]
