Stephen Kankole as 13-year-old LeBron James Don Cheadle as Al-G Rhythm, a self-aware and deceitful AI who presides over the Warner Bros. Serververse. Cheadle also voices Al-G Rhythm's computerized form. Cheadle was a fan of Michael Jordan, the original film and the Looney Tunes cartoons, so he accepted the role once it was pitched to him.[13] Cedric Joe as Dominic "Dom" James, LeBron's younger son and an aspiring video game developer.[14] Sonequa Martin-Green as Shelby James, LeBron's wife. Khris Davis as Malik, LeBron's childhood friend and business associate Jalyn Hall as 13-year-old Malik Ceyair Wright as Darius James, LeBron's elder son. Xosha Roquemore appears as Shanice James, LeBron's mother, Darius, Dom and Xosha's grandmother, and a fictionalized version of Gloria Marie James; Wood Harris appears as Coach C, LeBron's childhood coach; Sarah Silverman and Steven Yeun portray Warner Bros. executives; and Slink Johnson appears as a security guard. Basketball players Sue Bird, Draymond Green and A'ja Wilson cameo as themselves in a flashback in which Dom met them at a gathering attended by LeBron.
Rick and Morty in Space Jam: A New Legacy[]
In one scene while traveling across the universe in Marvin the Martian's spaceship, LeBron James tells Bugs Bunny that he's going to have to be very literal with him when it comes to his suggestions on recruiting new players. Suddenly, the Tasmanian Devil slams into the enclosed glass sphere where they are working as they and Daffy Duck notices. As he's hungrily licking the glass, Rick and Morty appear in their Space Cruiser, whom Rick says how they are done running tests on him and that his condition is irreversible, as Morty declares that he'll never be able to erase what he had saw in his brain. Rick comments that the Tasmanian Devil is their problem now before they blast off in the Space Cruiser and leave. Bugs Bunny and LeBron James then recruits Taz for their team.
Space Jam: A New Legacy in Rick and Morty[]
- In the Season 6 episode, "Full Meta Jackrick", the scene in the film is mockingly referenced as Rick says how their credibility is permanently eroded and every second in the Meta Reality is equivalent to ten Space Jam cameos.
- In the Season 7 episode, "Rickfending Your Mort", it is revealed that Rick killed the versions of himself and Morty who appeared in the film and mentioned that they begged for death as they were forced to be in the movie.
- In the Season 8 episode, "Ricker than Fiction", Rick transports Jerry in the Movie-lizer so he can live his own sequel to the film called Space Jam 7. However, Summer ruins it by putting her erotic raptor story in the Movie-lizer.
- Both Rick and Morty and Space Jam: A New Legacy are featured in the crossover video game MultiVersus.
