- This is the eighth episode of Rick and Morty to be rated TV-MA from the FCC. - This is the fourth episode of the series to include Jerry's name in the title (after "Star Mort Rickturn of the Jerri", "Gotron Jerrysis Rickvangelion" and "The Jerrick Trap") and the first episode to use only Jerry's name.
- In celebration of Season 8, Pocket Mortys' weekly updates coincided with new episodes, including new avatars and Mortys for players to collect. With the release of this episode came Easter Clause Jerry as an avatar, along with Bunny Ears Morty and Christ Trooper Morty to catch.

Series continuity[]
- Beth is seen watching The Bachelor in the Living Room TV in which the family was watching the show in "Rixty Minutes".
- A portrait of Snuffles is seen in the Smith family's Dining Room, who was last seen in "Lawnmower Dog".
Cultural references[]
- The episode's title is a reference to the novel and film, The Last Temptation of Christ.
- Morty mentions how he is streaming on the live streaming platform Twitch because the video game Fortnite has added president John F. Kennedy as an outfit.
- There is a poster of the 2007 film The Waterhorse on the door of Summer's room.
- Beth watches The Bachelor in the living room when Jerry tries to get her to hide Easter eggs around the house.
- Rick mentions how Jerry would not know that Easter is happening if he did not see the Easter isle at Costco.
- Rick and Morty discuss the former's reference to the Tim Allen film, The Santa Clause after Rick mentions that Jerry has been "Easter Claused".
- Rick mentions Dan Brown, the author of The Da Vinci Code.
- Rick allows Summer to go to Daytona, Florida for Spring Break.
- The visual of Rick and Morty traveling to Germany and the Andromeda Galaxy is a reference to the Indiana Jones films. Rick outright names the reference by saying "Let's Indiana Jones!"
- When analyzing the snow in Germany, Rick mentions how he does not want to say "climate change on this show" and doesn't know "which way Zaslav voted", referencing and making fun of Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav (the company owns Adult Swim, which produces Rick and Morty) and his political views (along with his decisions of canceling projects such as many animated works and removing them to claim tax write-offs).
- While in the Alpes, Rick mentions the movie Ice Man and its lead actor Timothy Hutton as well as the film Encino Man before being called old by Morty.
- While in Germany, Morty calls the local town a "Wicker-man place", referencing the film, The Wicker Man.
- Jerry speaks to Beth in the Na'vi language from the 2009 film, Avatar. The English subtitles for the scene are in the font Papyrus, the same one the film's title and subtitles uses.
- Jerry's Easter Bunny transformation is similar to Seth Brundle's fly-hybrid transformation in the novel and film, The Fly.
- The H.P. Lovecraft character, Cthulhu, is shown on the map to Andromeda.
- Rick compares the Andromeda temple to artist H.R. Giger and the Coachella festival.
- The Moai statue headed aliens resemble the Engineers from the 2012 Alien film, Prometheus. The film is referenced again when Rick tells the film's entire plot to Morty.
- Reinhard Kincaid bears a resemblance to Jesus Christ, even though Jesus Christ is said to be a trooper sent to Earth to take down the Easter Bunny until he was crucified.
- Jerry's Easter song and the song during the Anti-Holiday montage mentions the marshmallow confection brand Peeps, fast food chain Burger King, its slogan "Have it your way", and their hamburger brand Whopper, McDonald's hamburger brand Big Mac, sports car Chevrolet Corvette, automative manufacturer Honda, and golf cart business Mr. Golf Carts.
- During the Anti-Holiday montage, a Pumpkin judge can be seen dressed up as Sonic the Hedgehog from the video game franchise of the same name while a young trick-or-treater is dressed up as Wirt from the 2014 Cartoon Network miniseries, Over the Garden Wall.
- Madison mentions exiling Summer and a partygoer to a Best Western pool area at Daytona Beach.
