The New Galactic Federation is an organization that was formed from the remnants of the original Galactic Federation after its economic collapse. It was seemingly led by Tammy Guterman until her death at the hands of Rick Sanchez.
The post-credit scene of "Rickternal Friendshine of the Spotless Mort" showed that the organisation was still operational.
History[]
After the events of "The Rickshank Rickdemption" where Rick caused the collapse of the original Galactic Federation, the remaining members rebuilt their government into the New Galactic Federation, now led by Tammy Guterman. They formed a new army and upgraded the mortally wounded Birdperson into Phoenixperson. At one point, the Federation added an NX-5 Planet Remover to their arsenal. At another point in time, despite Rick Sanchez completely destroying the original Galactic Federation, the New Galactic Federation declared him a non-threat and no longer intended to capture him.
In Star Mort Rickturn of the Jerri, Space Beth is seen fighting against the New Galactic Federation before heading to Earth to confront her possible father Rick Sanchez. The Federation tracks Space Beth to Earth in order to capture her, using the NX-5 Planet Remover on the Earth in the process. Due to the actions of Rick, Morty, Beth, Space Beth, Jerry and Summer, however, the NX-5 is destroyed and Tammy is killed. During the battle, Rick also fought and subdued Phoenixperson, taking him back from the New Galactic Federation with the intent to restore him back to his normal self.
In Rickternal Friendshine of the Spotless Mort, Birddaughter is seen imprisoned by the organisation due to being the daughter of Birdperson and Tammy.

- The New Galactic Federation being built from the remains of the original Galactic Federation is likely a reference to Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens, in which the First Order rose up from the remnants of the original Galactic Empire.
- Much like the First Order draws parallels to the same concept, the New Galactic Federation may be an allusion to the German Third Reich.
