This short is a parody of the 1982 film, The Thing.
Plot[]
Smith family is tied up with exception of Rick who holds a flamethower. There are 4 vials with blood of each member of the family. He wants to test everyone's blood with a heated piece of copper wire. he starts with Jerry but his blood flees from the hot wire.

Trivia[]
- Episode parodies very similar scene in The Thing when the protagonist MacReady makes such test. Unlike MacReady, Rick doesn't test his own blood.
