I’m making this post because I intend to become a bureaucrat of the Rick and Morty Wiki, which has been unmoderated for a while. Continue reading this post for context and please comment whether you believe I should get the role.
State of the Wiki[]
There are currently no active admins to take care of its issues. You can check this by typing Special:ListAdmins on the search bar, or by clicking here. The last active admin was Interstellarcader, but they lost their admin rights and haven't edited the wiki since then. Kogone Uchiha is also an admin but they rarely edit the wiki. They haven't made an edit since July.
This is obviously bad, the reason why we need admins is so they can perform tasks that normal users can’t, like deleting pages that break the rules and banning trolls. A wiki that is unmoderated for too long becomes a mess. Luckily, Fandom allows users to adopt unmoderated wikis if they meet all requirements. This is my goal, I want to adopt this wiki.
Adoption[]
I think I’m fit to adopt this wiki. I have been editing this wiki for years, creating pages, correcting information and adding sources. If I do become a bureaucrat, I will solve issues such as spam pages and block any trolls and vandals. I’ll also promote other users (as long as they made several contributions to the wiki) in case I get inactive, so this wiki doesn’t end up unmoderated again.
Fandom Staff is going to take a look at this post and its comments, so type your opinion in the comments. Write if you think I should get admin/bureaucrat rights.
UPDATE: As of December 5, 2025, my adoption request has been accepted and I am now an administrator of this wiki. This blog post will be kept for archival purposes, but I will disable new comments since there's no need for them now.
